PC Details
PCs are the connection between your settings and campaigns. The PC details interface is where you manage your PCs and manage the relationships between the PCs and the world.
INFO
Admittedly, PCs arguably belong in campaigns instead of settings. But I believe most people will be running relatively few campaigns in the same Setting, and it's much easier to manage the relationships between PCs and the rest of the world when they're all in the same place.
Overall structure
The overall structure of the PC Details interface is similar to the common Entry interface, but there are some key differences:
Connection to Actors
PCs are directly tied to the Actors for those characters in Foundry. To make the connection, drag an actor from Foundry and drop it on the PC image. This will set the PC's name and image. Simply change them on the Actor side to automatically update the PC.
NOTE
Deleting an actor in Foundry that is attached to PC will automatically and safely remove it from the PC without deleting the PC. The PC will need to have a new actor attached to it.
Description
The description tab has the following fields instead of the normal ones:
- Player Name
- Background Points - good for keeping track of key background on the character you want to review before each session (as opposed to more detailed bios that may exist on the character sheet)
- Other Plot Points - this is where you can track background items that will make for good plot hooks (ex. an enemy)
- Desired Magic Items - keep a list of ideas for future magic items you might want to give the character
